Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. She grew up listening mostly to classical music, boleros from the past, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos, as well as drama and opera. Her mother taught her to sing, however she started intensive training in vocals with Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when he was a renowned Mexican opera tenor. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. She sang throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young student and professional. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her passion for performing, music, and the arts keep active in community projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able to share with others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
