Maggie Grace is an American actress who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character from ABC's Lost series and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Her birthplace was Worthington in Ohio. She was kicked out of school after her parents divorced to go to Los Angeles to live with her mother. In the midst of financial hardship, she got her first acting gig as the title character in the video on-demand series Rachel's Room in the year 2001. In 2002, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford, the role she played in Lost between 2004 and 2005, was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace quit the show in 2005 to pursue the role of a greater part in films, having appeared alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. Grace has been as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and in 2007 and in Taken opposite Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. Her role was reprised for Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern adaptation from the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to the Lost series in the final two episodes playing Shannon. Grace was a part of the show's sixth season, which aired from 2013 until 2014. She plays Faith who's both a star-gazer and socialite. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. As a part of the Gyllenhaal Family she's the daughter and older sister of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The first time she appeared in the films of her father as an adolescent. Along with her brother, she was also on the screen in Donnie Darko (2000). Then she appeared in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal's leading roles in Secretary, an erotico-romantic comedy, as well as Sherrybaby (a dramatic) received her nominations for Golden Globe Awards. The year 2006 was the time she had numerous films that were commercially successful, including World Trade Center. However, it was her role as Rachel Dawes that brought her greater attention for her performance in The Dark Knight (2008). For this film she was awarded an award for the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
